Especially when you have to make a rainbow sapphire color with many shades of every color. Without bangacha thai green sapphires would be incomplete. Bangacha sapphires are sapphires that are routinely heat treated like most green sapphires, again Bangacha is a place in Thailand, that produces some of the finest green sapphires in the world. Online media, bloggers, don’t disclose this but we do, because we believe in complete transparency. This is one of the reasons we don’t heat treat most of our 2021 color: teal green sapphire, because we don’t want the consistency of one color, but rather mix of colors within one stone being totally acceptable. We of course heat treat most of them to get brilliance, color consistency and better transparency. However in Green sapphires, they just mean that the origin of these green sapphires are from Songea, Tanzania. So what are Songea Sapphires? If you are from the trade Songea sapphires are mostly refered to as BE-heated sapphires into the wonderful rainbow colors of orange, yellow, red’s. They come from mostly a place in Tanzania. The first shade of green sapphires are Songea Sapphires. Following us here well enough? So now let’s go in depth of the different shades of Green Sapphires. If there is more blue, for example 70% Blue + 30% Yellow = 60% Green + 40% Blue(extra blue from the 70%). If we have 50% Yellow + 50% Blue = 100% Green.
